RC Pro Series Canada: Canadian Champs on Sept. 16-17-18 2011

On behalf of the RC Pro series Canada, myself and its regional directors let me congratulate all this years Regional Champions.
The series has seen great growth in all markets this year due to the dedication of the directors and more importantly, you the racers.

In a few short weeks (Sept 16-18) CRE Raceway (formerly known as Mid Canada RC) in Winnipeg will be hosting this years National Finals where we will crown our 2011 National Champions.

I invite all of you who have scored points in at least one RC Pro Series race to come out to this race.
You will find all the event information when you register.
Space is limited so please register only if you are going to attend.

After speaking with David Lovett, I have decided to follow suite with what the US series is doing this year, here are a few things to note.
- Drivers will carry their final regional points into this race.
- Points earned for the Nationals will be 1.5 times that of the normal points earned and added to the drivers over all total to determine the champion.
- You may only register for a class that you have scored points in.

Thanks again for a great season and I hope to see most of you out in Winnipeg for the Nationals in a few weeks.

E-FIRESTORM FLUX – UPDATED WITH EVEN MORE FEATURES!
The ready-to-run E-Firestorm Flux, HPI’s first-ever brushless motor equipped 2WD 1/10th scale stadium truck, is now better than ever! We’ve taken the proven platform and added a 2.4GHz radio system, a more powerful ESC/motor combination, waterproof electronics, an 8.4V battery pack, AA batteries for the transmitter, Split 5 chrome wheels and two fresh new paint jobs. The updated E-Firestorm Flux let’s you drive in wet conditions and has a top speed of over 50 mph with on-command wheelies!

2.4GHz RADIO SYSTEM
Controlling the E-Firestorm Flux is easy with the HPI 2.4GHz radio system. No need to worry about changing crystals, the radio prevents frequency conflicts automatically. If the truck loses radio signal or battery power, an electronic failsafe will bring it to a safe and controlled stop.

WATERPROOF
The E-Firestorm Flux now has a waterproof receiver box to keep the 2.4GHz receiver protected from the elements for glitch-free operation. A new SF-10W waterproof steering servo and a waterproof Flux Vapor speed control mean your E-Firestorm won’t be stopped by wet conditions like rain, snow, and mud.

MORE POWER
The E-Firestorm Flux takes the durable E-Firestorm platform to the next level with amazing performance from brushless motor technology powered by Castle. The updated Flux brushless system includes a Flux Vektor 4800Kv brushless motor that is controlled by Flux Vapor waterproof electronic speed control. The new motor/esc combo is now capable of handling a 3S Li-Po battery pack for a blazing top speed over 50 mph! Experience the extreme power and efficiency that brushless technology offers.

BETTER EQUIPPED
To help get your new E-Firestorm Flux running as quickly as possible, a rechargeable 8.4V Plazma 3300mAh battery pack and AC wall charger are now included, along with Plazma AA’s for your transmitter! Just charge the battery and you’re ready to start driving!

LOOKS GREAT
The E-Firestorm Flux features two new pre-painted color choices, Orange/Silver or Yellow/Pink. The DSX-2 body comes completely trimmed, decaled and mounted for the ultimate in ease. The intricate paint designs feature an action sports inspired layout for concours quality appearance. And you can always customize your truck with any of the clear or pre-painted polycarbonate body shells from the huge assortment of HPI bodies and other manufacturers as well! For great looks, the E-Firestorm Flux is topped off with a set of chrome Split 5 wheels.

BUILT TOUGH
TOUGH is the word that best describes the E-Firestorm Flux. Every you look the critical parts have been designed to withstand the rigors of off-road racing. The key to durability for any 2WD stadium truck is the transmission, and the E-Firestorm Flux tranny is extra tough, using all metal gears to easily handle the power of hot electric motors. Inside the tranny is a sealed planetary differential with, again, all metal gears for extra toughness. And everything is protected by an adjustable dual-pad slipper clutch mated to durable 48 pitch gears, with tough steel dogbones and axles transmit the power to the tires.

The Firestorm’s design heritage is easy to spot in the E-Firestorm Flux. The stealthy black color theme is purposefully applied to the sleek curves of the composite nylon main chassis with strategically center-mounted batteries, servo and transmission. The proven tough suspension from the Firestorm is carried over for maximum durability. And subtle features like threaded shock bodies and hex head screws point out that the E-Firestorm Flux is not your average RTR truck, it’s a whole new level of design for the RTR class.

PERFORMANCE DRIVEN DESIGN
The E-Firestorm Flux uses race-inspired design to give owners full control over suspension adjustments for excellent handling on surfaces like open fields, parks, and even to your local racing track. The lay down steering servo and low profile transmission help provide a very low center of gravity (CG) for quick response. A full set of turnbuckles allows you to adjust camber and front toe. The rear toe and anti-squat angles are adjustable using pivot blocks, just like on the high-spec racing trucks. Silicone oil-filled shocks absorb all bumps and jumps and keep the tires on the ground. The shocks even feature threaded shock bodies for easy spring adjustments, while 3 upper and 2 lower shock mounts give a multitude of tuning possibilities. 14 ball bearings provide maximum drive train efficiency for faster top speed and durability. Wide-track suspension gives the E-Firestorm Flux superb control. Providing extra grip and control are square-pin Ground Assault rear tires, and asymmetric dual-edge Front Line tires keep the E-Firestorm Flux pointed in the right direction.

BRUSHLESS ELECTRIC POWER
The E-Firestorm Flux takes full advantage of all of the benefits of electric power; it’s quiet, clean, powerful, and truly plug-and-play… no starter or fuel needed! Blazing speed comes from a Flux Vektor brushless motor powered by Castle, controlled by an electronic speed control for complete control over throttle, brakes, and reverse. NiMh to Li-Po battery packs all fit easily in the E-Firestorm battery slot that gives secure and tool-free access.

FULL ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
As with all HPI cars and trucks, you get a full, in-depth instruction manual with step-by-step instructions that allow you to easily disassemble and reassemble your truck for maintenance and easy servicing. The manual also includes a handy parts list and full-scale drawings of the parts and hardware. And the included HPI RC Car DVD is your personal RC car expert in a box!

THE COMPLETE PACKAGE
From the tough all metal transmission gears to full adjustability of the suspension geometry, the E-Firestorm Flux sets a new standard for ready-to-run stadium trucks. Full ball bearings, brushless 4800Kv motor, waterproof electronics, silicone oil-filled threaded shocks – it’s all there on the E-Firestorm Flux, precision built from the factory. And with a top speed of over 50 mph you will have the power you need for extreme off-road driving. Top it off with your choice of a bright red or metallic silver custom screened DSX-2 body and your E-Firestorm is ready to hit the dirt!

Mugen Ninja JX21B02 3-Port Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine w/Light Weight Head

This is the Ninja JX21B02 .21 Off Road Competition Racing Engine. Improving on the championship winning Ninja line of engines was a difficult task, but the combined experience and technology at Mugen Seiki Racing and O.S. Engines has created the ultimate power plant for any 1/8 scale buggy or truck.

Mugen Seiki teamed up with O.S. Engines to create this long stroke 3 port engine that features a redesigned piston and sleeve, crankcase and crankshaft for improved performance and fuel economy. The long stroke creates a stronger, more linear power band that pulls hard in the low RPM range, and retains the ability to produce incredible top end power! The light weight 10 fin cooling head sits 8mm lower than the previous Ninja engine, giving the JX21B02 an ultra low center of gravity.

Once again the collaboration of Mugen Seiki Racing, Ninja and O.S. Engines has elevated the JX21B02 one step above any other engine on the market!

Features:

  • Low profile light weight cooling head (approx. 8mm lower than the B01A engine)
  • New piston & sleeve (3 port long stroke)
  • New profile head button
  • Black anodized crankcase
  • Black anodized carburetor with 7mm restrictor
  • New crankshaft with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating
